Walking, endlessly, with out no clue as to where she was going. Just wandering, going where ever her feet would take her. They already knew the drill, one, two, one, two. None of this came to a surprise to them, this was nothing that they hadn't done before. Wind blew gracefully, causing strands of honey blonde hair to flow freely behind her. For once, she wasn't wearing her kabuki mask, taking advantage of the fresh air that caressed her pale face. Stenches of humans, filled the nostrils of the kistune's nose. She was aware that the village she just entered, were filled with mortals BUT not just any ordinary mortal. More like advanced, skillful warriors who hunted youkai's. Though she knew that it was a hazard for her to step foot near it, she still did. Fearless, valiant, dauntless, she wasn't afraid. She wasn't just a typical demon. No she was only half. Human blood moved through her veins but didn't quite define her. People still managed to look at her disgustingly, mainly because her ears weren't quite like there's or she had features that only "sinners" were capable of having. Demons mocked her for having human blood. Either way she never quite belonged ...
Her aura, caused quite a fuss around town. Heads turning and angry whispers danced with the wind as she walked passed them.
"Ignorant humans." she thought, as she heard the absurd comments. She brushed it off, not in the mood to harm anyone. However, she greatly detested there rudeness. Furiously blaming her for the disasters that had ocurred due to the new rulers. Not her fault though, just cause she was of half demon decent didn't mean that she agreed with the brutal ways of the demon lords. As a matter of fact, she despised them for their merciless acts towards the humans. Enslaving them, trading them and beating them. It was hard to see such tragedies happen, but there wasn't much she could do about it. She wasn't as strong. As much as it pained her to admit it, it was true. She can never single handling take down the rulers even if her inner evil had arose.
"Hm!" The kitsune quickly moved to the side. An arrow had stuck out through the ground where she was just moments ago standing. She looked around to see the direction which to where it came from. From afar, she spotted a mob of demon extornationist. "Great this is just what I needed. A bunch of humans brewing trouble." She thought as she picked up the arrow from the ground.
"Give up! There is no way you can take down all of us." A voice shouted through the crowd. Were they kidding? They had to be? Did they have any idea on who they were talking to. Hanyou yes, but that didn't mean she had no strength, no power. They under estimated her and irritation fueled the young kitsune.
"I do not wish to cause trouble. Let me just walk peacefully through the town and no one will get hurt. You won't even know that I'm-" An arrow flew passed her, grazing her cheek. Blood began to trickle, effortlessly making their way towards her chin. She reached up to touch it and examined the red gooey texture carefully.
"Leave! At once." Another voice shouted. "They cut me. They made me bleed ..." She balled up her fist, feeling fustration take hold of her. She could walk away, forget the fact that he blood was spilled. Move on with out causing problems for herself but most importantly them. She could just leave, they already hated demons why give them more reason to? But would she? No! She would never back down from a fight, never. Even if it meant destroying them, each and everyone them it would not effect her. Once you killed everything you ever loved, nothing matters anymore. Nothing hurts you anymore. So this wouldn't mean anything either. She withdrew her chakrams from her sheath. They would suffer for their actions, she would make sure of it.

"Not even a day here, and everyone things you are insane" the demon whispered, the words crawling inside his skull like worms in the soil. Deimos had had decades to get used to the feeling, but it still sent shivers down his spine. At least it didn't make him want to claw his eyes out anymore.
"That's the way it happens" he answered, people staring strangely as they passed. Who was this madman, sitting with his back against the wall, murmuring to himself in the shadows? "If those bastards had a pest like you inside their heads, they'd be more sympathetic. Can't understand what you've never felt, demon."
Faint chuckle. Like the echoing sounds of crows in a valley. He hated it when Icipher did that. "You could always try speaking with your mind, sorcerer. Just open your thoughts to me and you shall suffer no more humiliations."
Fat chance. Icipher was just making chin music and he knew it.(if he had a chin, one can never know) If Deimos pulled down his mental barriers, he'd be digging his own grave. "You've gotten slow in your old age, demon" he teased him.
"As if you could comprehend the millennia I've been in this world. How much longer are you gonna live? Two hundred years? Three hundred? The only reason for that is me, little sorcerer. Do well to remember that"
"Better than dead than a slave, my kin used to say"
Some unflattering comments about Deimos' late family were uttered. The sorcerer didn't bother respond. The villagers allowed him to shop for food only out of fear. Demons, they knew how to handle. But the black arts were not too widespread in this land. He had only needed to pull one little trick and they decided it was best they leave him alone.
Get too insane though and that fear would translate itself into murder instead of cowardice. Frighten someone too much and his survival instincts will start clicking. Deimos had seen it happen. It was a classic case in warfare. The side that had no escape was the one that usually won the day. The most serious the obstacle the more the fight one would put up.
Paradoxes. The glory of the human race. Right.
He sat there, munching on riceballs and waiting for the afternoon to pass. Travelling in the hot sun was something he had done a lot, but never loved. He could avoid it, so he would. But damn, the food did nothing to help his mood. He missed the stew and meat back home. All these short, skinny guys ate was rice and fish. Who the hell could survive only on rice and fish? No wonder most of them didn't rise above his chest.
"Heads up, mind mage. Trouble brewing"
Deimos snapped out of his day-dreaming. At first, he thought that the demon was talking about him. He almost let fire a shadow spell out of reflex, something that Icipher would've relished. Damn demon always tried to get him killed.
"Not you, self-important idiot. Down the street. Youkai"
"Guess there are more stupid people than I" he muttered, mostly to himself. Who the hell walked into a demon-slayer infested village like he was taking a stroll down the beach? Not a he, he realised, but a she. Women and their impulses.
As he expected, she soon started acting tough. Someone let loose an arrow, creating a red trail across her cheek. It was merely a flesh wound, but it was probably aimed at her pride.
Deimos smiled as she saw her produce a pair of strange blades, the intent clear in the way her body moved. "Entertainment, demon. Isn't that what you wanted?" he murmured, provoking a couple of odd glances by the villagers that had gathered to greet the youkai, in their own way.
"Don't do anything stupid, sorcerer. Wait and see what happens."
"I never intended too. Was gonna finish my riceballs anyway"

Holding tightly to her blades, Midori's laid back posture had changed. Replacing it was a stance of only a warrior, a stance preparing for battle. Of course her intentions were not to harm anyone. That's not what she had intended at all. All she wanted was a little peace and quiet. Was that so hard to ask for? Traveling for days, exterminating reckless demons AND humans with out proper rest can cause serious damage to a person, especially if they hadn't eaten for what seemed like weeks. An assassin is entitled to taking breaks too. It was sure not the smartest choice to rest in a village filled of hateful exterminators but Midori was always quite the risk taker.
"Hm, you humans are foolish. Do you honestly believe you can handle a demon who possesses my talents?" Confidence had rolled out her tongue. She was assured that this was going to be a cake walk. She handled many other opponents far more stronger then the ones that stood before her, so this would not be as hard as the others. After all they were all just humans. The sound of an arrow being released made Midori's left ear twitch. A small, devious smirk crept its way into Midori's mouth. Did they not know that she never fell for the same thing twice. The arrow flew towards Midori with mind blowing speed that even to Midori it was astounding. But she was aware of its arrival. With absolutely no effort in her movements, Midori extended her left hand out, catching the arrow with only two fingers. Using her index and ring fingers, Midori twirled the arrow, trying to mock the the humans of there familiar attempt.
"Is this all you pathetic mortals can do?" She teased as she broke the arrow in half, still only using her fingers.
"Stupid demon. You will regret mocking us." A human, holding a katana in his hand, used it to point to at the kistune hanyou. He was wise beyond his years and it had shown on his face. Creases in his face shown his wiseness and the wearyness in his eyes revealed his stress filled days. It must be tough for mortals to gain freedom now and days with all that has been going on. The only things that they had were there pride and this town. One could understand their need to protect it. However, that was no excuse to treat there guest so rudely.
"Enough chit chat!" Midori yelled in fustration. "Its time to teach you fools a lesson."
Midori charged towards the group of humans with such speed, that it was nearly impossible to see from where she would appear. This was average speed to the eye of a fellow youkai but to a simple minded mortal it was quite breath taking.
"Shoot!" The man shouted, while he readied himself for any attack that the hanyou would throw. His helpers shot arrows frequently, hoping with each shot that they would hit there marks. Unfortunately for them, Midori was one step ahead. Dodging each and every single shot with simple manuevers such as cartwheels and quick movements, stunned her opponents. She laughed menaciously as she drew closer to her prey.
"Master she is too fast. All our shots completely miss her." One of the human acher's said, terror escaping from his words.
"Keep shooting. We can not let her escape." The man demanded, with terror also creeping into his voice. As more arrows try to reach, Midori kept dodging, gaining more in more agility. Determination behind her eyes and confidence filling her heart, she jumped into the air grasping her chakrams. The circular blades clattered against each other as Midori raised them to her breast. "Wretched humans. You shall pay." She yelled as her blades had became engulfed with flames. She then seperated them and threw them with all her might towards the group of humans. She spun with speed, leaving traces of threatening fire behind.

Redemption hadn’t planned on entering the demon slayer village. She’d only been through once, and the only reason she got out without any damage to anyone, including herself, was because she knew one of the humans. He’d been one of her students of sorts at some point. He knew very well she wouldn’t come visit very often. How old was he now? Thirty? She could hardly fathom it. Being as old as she was and not showing signs of aging didn’t help her internal clock much at all. But some yelling and sounds of arrows being knocked—which was, by chance, heard by her oft inattentive ears—caused her to stop and change direction. Normally, something like this wouldn’t make her change course, but there weren’t really any shouts of distress coming from younger children or mothers that she could hear, which meant this wasn’t just some random youkai attack.
She ran down the incline toward the village, dodging the surrounding trees. They were a nuisance, but they were what hid the village so well. Their thick trunks and height were rather imposing to most, and helpful demons and demon hunters abounded in them. She arrived at the edge of the village in time to see a flurry of arrows being shot at a small youkai. No, a hanyou. Why in the world . . . ? She rushed forward to get around to where the humans were, reaching them in time to see their faces of fear. Most of them were trainees. . . . Where were the more experienced fighters? Only one or two were present.
The hanyou said something to them in anger and suddenly threw flaming blade-things toward the humans. Not while I’m standing here. This wasn’t a lower ranked demon. Humans would die without her intervention. Lines of white hot flame shot through the air and hit the hurling blade of fire right off their path, sending them off to the side. In the process, the lines of flame, which had remained in contact with the flaming discs, fell away, taking with them the flame of the blades and zooming overhead back to Redemption, whose hand was outstretched to receive them. Absorbing fire was the easy part, she reminded herself.
She stepped in the front of the humans, facing the young hanyou. She assumed she was young. She hardly had any self-control, so much as Redemption could see.
“Redemp—“ She held up a one-second finger to silence to older fighter.
“Please put your sword away,” she said calmly, eyes caught on to the hanyou’s figure. She said a little loudly to the hanyou, “What’s all this about?” She was very ready in case the girl tried anything again. She’d have to retrieve her blades eventually, unless she was telekinetic or something.

"What do you think they'll do to her when they catch her?" Icipher asked, the cruel mirth in his voice obvious. One thing that always impressed him about this world, he said, was the capacity of it's inhabidants for cruelty. He had watched a lot of that, through Deimos' eyes. He even confessed that his kind could take lessons by them.
"Anything they do won't be as interesting as what we did back home" he answered, finishing his riceball. "If they catch her at all"
"A shame that there aren't any brilliant minds here. Like Vespa." Vespa had actually invented a disembowler machine that could drown out the victim's screams by playing music. Deimos and Icipher had watched it in action. It was so morbid, so macabre, that is actually made him laugh. And then throw up, as it's business was nearing completion.
People started gathering in the alley soon, hoping to watch the action and blocking Deimos' view. Great. He stood up, wiping rice off his fighting leathers and grunting as he straightened his back. Some of the people turned back to look at him. His height scared them, he realised. Then again, it enabled him to watch the scenes unfold above their heads, so they were maybe just jealous.
Another arrow was loosed. That one never found it's mark and didn't look like it was supposed to miss. In an impressive display of skill, the girl caught it between her two fingers, twirling it. Then she started chattering again, the usual claptrap that people with an overburdance of pride are prone to mouth. He should know. Deimos was one of them.
More arrows were let loose. A wanna-be hero, weilding a sword, stepped foward. The girl dodged the arrows with ridiculous ease, infecting the watching crowd with surprised murmurs. And worried ones, too. The tables seemed to be suddenly turning. Deimos knew the feeling.
The murmurs turned to screams as her blades, engulfed in flames, flew towards the village. Icipher laughed, making the sorcerer's head hurt. And the b*stard was a laugh riot most of the time. A few people in the crowd started taking a few steps back. Not very brave now, are you? Deimos wanted to say, but decided against it. Better not insult them into staying. Watching them run to the hills might be amusing.
The impending doom was put off course by two, white burning lances that literally came out of the blue. They caused even more screaming. Some people ran back inside their homes.
The lines were drawn back and into the hand of redheaded woman. "Great, killjoys come in all colors now" Icipher said, dissapointed. Deimos was at a loss for words. The whole thing happened so quickly that his mind was too occupied with registering it to think.
The woman proceeded to step between both warring parties. Bad move, that. She was cleary a youkai and probably not loved by both sides. She'd probably get skewered between the incoming fire. Now, that, would be priceless.
To his surprise, the warriors seemed to recognise them.
"What the hell?"
“Please put your sword away" she said, looking at the girl, but clearly referring to the demon slayers. “What’s all this about?”
"Who the hell is she now, the Peace Brigade?" Deimos muttered, but no one payed him any heed. They were too busy watching the show.
"Leave", Icipher told him. "These fools will probably stop the racket and start holding hands. Then they'll start hunting the witch-man and erecting stakes" The demon spoke by experience. Hunting sorcerers was the national sport in Deimos' homeland. Or was. He wasn't keen on finding out anyway.
Slowly, he started following the demon's advice, hoping his height wouldn't betray him.

A thump noise was created, as Midori's feet had made contact with the ground beneath them. Irritation was building with in her. She could feel her blood boiling, gurgling, hot and ready to explode. Witnessing the flames extinguish from her blades and watching this woman repel her weapons made Midori angry. Who the hell did she think she was? Interfering with matters that do not concern her nor did they need there assistant. They were man enough to start with her but they could not finish it. Instead they coward behind a woman, using her to defend their pathetic lives. This made Midori chuckle. Who would believe that exterminators, people who kill beings such as herself for a living could not even eliminate a hanyou. Her powers were lesser then an average demon but greater then a simple mortal. They could have easily taken her out. Clearly, they needed more training.
An aroma tickled Midori's nose, filling her nostrils with smells of a warm fireplace. Stenches of charcoal being burnt or a hut that was deteriating by scorching flames. That's when it had clicked to her. The red headed woman, who so easily doused her flames was not just an ordinary sword slinging woman. No, she was youkai, a fire youkai to be exacted and by the looks of things she was experienced, way more experienced then even her own self.
The red head had ordered the pitiful excuse for exterminators to with draw there swords. "Is this woman stupid or something? Does she not know that these mortals hunt after people like her? How can she be so nonchalant about everything ... how could she protect them?" Questions, unanwsered questions all came flooding into Midori's head like a tidal wave making its way towards a village. She could not quite understand this red head nor her intentions. What came as more of a surprise to her was the fact that the humans obeyed the red head's command. Like puppies, who complied with every instruction there master have given them. Demon exterminators taking orders from a youkai? Now that was ironic!
"Stop interfering! These matters do not concern you!" Midori growled as she eyed the red head. She was an interesting specimen. She hardly looked like a threat at all, let alone a youkai. Midori knew fairly well that this woman was clearly a force and should not be wreckon with but Midori did not fear much. Even if she knew that she would be defeated she simply could not back down from a challenge. Her pride did not approve of it, and her pride meant EVERYTHING to her.
Cautiously, Midori used her right foot to take a step forward. She obviously did not know what this red head was capable of but she was determined to find out. Plus she was weaponless, not that it mattered. Midori had other tricks she could use

Redemption watched the young woman with intrigue, but also with irritation. Ignorant child. She didn’t know the girl’s true age, but her attitude didn’t put in the favor of older and more experienced. Then again, hers didn’t either at times. “Anything that threatens the lives in this village is my business,” she replied. She turned her head to the side to speak to the older man behind her with others. “Take your trainees and send them home, Akito. They’re not ready.” The man seemed taken aback, but he complied, ushering the others to move and get out of the way. He seems to have grown senile in his old age, thinking they can fight a hanyou of higher youkai blood. She knew this was no lesser demon, but she also knew the human blood would make her stubborn, as was usual for hanyous.
“Fighting trainees will not get you anywhere,” she said as she returned her gaze to hanyou. “Or fighting old men.” She paused, her frown only slightly improving. “Get out. Don’t embarrass yourself any further.” Redemption didn’t think the girl would comply, but she stood straight up, not putting herself in any sort of fighting position. She wasn’t a trainee anymore. Hadn’t been for a very long time. She put a hand on her sword as it started to pulse, calming it. No matter who she met, it wanted something. Blood. Agony. Screams. She knew what it wanted and yet refused to give them to it. Whatever this girl chose to do, she hoped she wouldn’t choose to do in the village and scare the living daylights out of the older women and children.
She just wanted to get this over with and keep moving. Passing by may have been a mistake. She knew she shouldn’t have interfered. It was their own idiocy that got them into this mess. The young were so headstrong, and the old were just a little crazy. She still wondered where the rest of them had run off to.
If this girl was determined to fight her. . . . “Otherwise, should you choose to embarrass yourself further, I shall be glad to teach you a lesson.” You should have remained in training, little girl.
Let me have her! You’re not getting anything.

A faint growl escaped Midori's thin lips. Her temper was rising, she could feel it. Her blood was pulsing, flowing through her body wildly as she became more and more angrier. She knew she had to keep her compulsure maintained. If not then the whole entire village will be a long forgotten wasteland if the inner kitsune had decided to shed an appearance. But how could she resist the urge to lose control if this vile red head was only making matters worse? She interfered with her battle, proving she was far more experienced then her by wiping out her flames and now she was testing her patience by making assumptions about her abilities. Clearly, this woman did not know who she was messing with.
Midori swallowed her anger as she took another step forward. Her weapons were far beyond her range. The woman was clever, using Midori's weapons as bait in order to lure the hanyou in to her trap. The kitsune gave the woman props for attempting to fool her BUT she had not thought it through. Midori was an assassin which meant she had to pay close attention to detail. Traps were among the many that the hanyou had to learn to cope with. Through her missions she would constantly have to avoid them and if she did not then her position would be spotted and her mission would most likely end up with her having to fend off multiple opponents. That was no problem for her. but it was rather tiring. With that thought proccessing in her head, Midori smirked deviantly. She could handle this woman. She would handle her like she had handled every other situation, with skill. She fought youkai's twice her sides, with far more strength. Capable of swallowing her whole if they had the chance to, but that was the problem right there, they NEVER had the chance to.
"Teach me a lesson? How nice of you to think that YOU can possibly teach ME a lesson." Midori paused as she raised her index finger towards the direction of the red head. "Looks like I'm going to have to show you what happens to people who mess with me!" With out further hesitation, Midori charged towards the woman, feeling herself increase in speed with each step. She was angry and at the moment her frustration was taking over her. Her eyes were locked upon the womans who by the looks of it was waiting for her to strike. Midori did not care there, she wanted this ladies blood to be splattered at her feet.

Hot-tempered little thing, Redemption thought, still standing in the same spot as when she stepped in between the combatants. She didn’t need a fight right now, though normally she’d be all for it. She had a little bit of a headache. The fire demon observed the hanyou closely, noticing how she seemed to be thinking, probably seething about Redemption’s interference. She couldn’t blame her. If anyone had stepped in between Redemption and her prey . . . they would wish for death after she was finished. Wish for it, only, though. She didn’t kill unless absolutely necessary, and even then, she found she couldn’t really handle someone’s death on her hands. She’s been successful in not killing others for a long while, and she planned to keep in that way.
The girl took a step forward, and in response, well, Redemption remained still. She didn’t need to prove her abilities. She knew just how far it all went. The hanyou’s weapons were out of reach, but that probably meant nothing to the young one. If she was truly a good fighter, in Redemption’s opinion, she wouldn’t need her weapons to fight her. Just how strong was this girl’s fire, she wondered? It was obvious the girl wasn’t happy about her “stealing” her fire, but that was expected. It hurt her pride, and that was what Redemption was going for. There was no trick to what she did, but she would let the hanyou believe whatever she wanted to believe. There was no reason to explain why she was interfering for the humans or why anything else.
Redemption quirked a brow at the hanyou’s words. This kid really was quite haughty. Her age was showing through, and no matter her skill, she didn’t seem to have the control or wisdom necessary to use it properly. She didn’t reply, not seeing any reason to reply to such statements of insignificance. She waited for the girl to get right up close to her, measuring her speed with her eyes. The hanyou was really too brash and didn’t think things through enough. Redemption didn’t pick her fights carelessly in any normal circumstances.
As soon as she got fairly close, Redemption flickered and swirled into flame before vanishing and reappearing on the hanyou’s heals in a split second, all at once whipping a line of fire at the front of the hanyou’s knees. Using fire didn’t mean you were necessarily always immune to it, not in a hanyou’s case, not in anyone’s case unless they were of fire. While whipping the line, she also quickly threw a kick at the hanyou’s upper back, aiming to push her forward, possibly tripping her. She didn't really need to hurt the girl, but it might be interesting to see her get more frustrated.

Hot tempered indeed. Midori never let another try to humilate her or belittle her. It was just plain wrong. One thing she hated more then people interfering were youkai's trying to get slick with her. She couldn't tolerate the embarrassment and even though she was in the wrong for troubling these humans with her ignorance she still did not appreciate Redemption's intrusion. Running with remarkable agility, Midori had a hateful look in her eye and a heart filled with determination. The red head was a greater demon and far more experienced then Midori but that did not stop her, that didn't even make her sweat. She was always up for a challenge and the woman that stood before her seemed like a tough enough opponent. An overwhelming feeling of stimulation, ignited her, causing her to move more quickly with each step she took. Moving with such speed, that the only trace of her was her footprints and the the sight of the dirt uprising due to her quick movements.
The hanyou knew she was acting like an irrational little brat. But she could care less. This is how she always was, quick to jump into something with out fully thinking through. Completely ignoring all consequences, she perpetually stuck to what her gut would tell her and at that instant her gut was advising her to annihilate the red head. She wouldn't feel bad about it either. If she were to end up killing this woman it wouldn't be significant to her. Her occupation acquired her to slay thousands of people and not one of them disturbed her conscience. Only one person mattered to her and that person was already gone ...
When Midori finally was within range of the the red head, a tiny grin made its way onto her mouth. She could already smell the blood of the woman's b on her hands as she envisioned it in her mind. A deranged thought, but Midori had witnessed more twisted and senile things in her life and this was like child's play compared to that. Her eyes were fixated on the woman as she approached her, examining her movements closely just in case she decided to pull a fast one. By the red head's compulsure, Midori was reassured that this would be effortless. She cocked her right arm back and aimed it in the direction of Redemptions face. She then brung it forward, certain that it would hit her mark. But what was this? The woman had suddenly vanish. All that remained was a cloud of smoke which Midori's fist flew right into. She inhaled the smog, coughing excessively as she did. The woman was close by. Midori could tell by the remmnants of a kindled fire place aroma that lurked around still.
"Come out chicken!" She managed to yell out as she nearly choked on the pollution that was entering her lungs. After a few more moments of continous coughs, Midori felt something simultaneously push her foward, causing her to lose her balance. She felt herself falling as the ground came closer to her face. She whailed her arms wildly in a attempt to regain herself but her efforts were of no need fore she hit the ground anyways, creating a loud "thump" noise. Midori was now on her back, bewilded on what had just tooken place. Everything happened so fast that she couldnt quite register it through her mind. All she could remember was trying to hit the woman and her disappearing. Midori felt anguished as she stared at the white clouds that resided in the baby blue sky. This woman outsmarted her. Played a game of whits and obviously she had took the win. How could she have let the red head make a fool out of her? The thought of this infuriated the hanyou. She was not going to let some stranger make a mockery out of her.

Redemption felt slightly embarrassed at the thought of a hanyou, someone who had demon blood, acting with such little self control. Perhaps the combination of human blood and demon blood didn’t work very well together. She’d never much understood their chemistry or psychology. They always acted a bit differently. When she actually thought about it, though, she considered the possibility of some sort of family scars. Maybe the humans or demons just hadn’t accepted hanyous, and she could believe that very easily. Her kind were very well known about their attitudes toward half-breeds. She herself wasn’t very fond of such mixing of blood, no matter how caring she could be toward humans. Their blood just shouldn’t mix.
The girl had been fast, but not fast enough. Whatever made this hanyou think to fight with a full-fledged youkai was beyond her, though she was sure something had gone on with this girl that made her so confident. Confidence was great and all, but you had to know your limitations. Redemption knew hers. Beyond them, she didn’t know what was possible. Perhaps there was more potential for her, but she wouldn’t discover that for a long time yet. Certainly, the time would come soon when she would have to face her death, and then perhaps she wouldn’t be able to find out just what she was capable of.
Her hands remained relaxed as the girl lied there on the ground. She wasn’t worried. The hanyou had shown enough foolishness that Redemption was inwardly struggling not to push her face into the dirt and give her a good talking to. And who had she just called a chicken? She tapped the ground with her boot, something of a habit, making sure any loose dirt came off. She didn’t like having lots of mud and dirt on her shoes. That just wouldn’t do. Man, she hadn’t landed a kick like that—though it wasn’t really hard—in a while. She should cause a bit more trouble and stop being so responsible.
“Shall we play again?” she asked with a small smirk. If this girl was going to let her taunt her, she’d be happy to oblige. Looking at the girl on the ground, now on her back, she wondered just what she had been thinking. Redemption was smart, but she was no mind-reader. She should quit this nonsense before she makes even more of fool out of herself. She rolled her shoulders back, and a crack resounded down her spine. She wasn’t trying to be tough. She knew she was, and though this hanyou acted it, there was a certain level of maturity that needed to come with it. Funny. Her mature? She could laugh at the thought! She had her moments. Didn’t everyone?

Being hanyou came with its advantages. The demon in her allowed senses such as hearing enhance. It also came with unremarkable speed and seeing from distance she wouldn't normally see if she were human. However, with every good quality there's always a downfall behind it. As for Midori her human side made things difficult for her at times. Due to her mortality, she was unable to obtain the agility that a regular youkai would have. Also, her strength wouldn't stand a chance against a full flegded youkai. The only way her power would be fully developed was if she released the kitsune demon she harbored within her. But that was a dangerous to even THINK about attempting. If she unleased her full strength, she would cause a great amount of damage to anyone or anything near her. Don't get it wrong, Midori was fully capable of handling herself with out using her full power, BUT she needed work, ALOT of it. It was painfully obvious to see it now since this wretched woman took her down so easily. But Midori wouldn't let anyone make a fool out of her.
"You think your so big and bad, don't you? Midori snarled as she used her arms to lift herself to her feet. She glared at the red head with so much intensity hidden within them. The kitsune was indeed frustrated. She faught demons before but this woman wasn't like any other she encountered. She was something more .... more dangerous which made Midori alittle intrigued to know what kind of power did she have. The woman countered the hanyou's attack with out breaking a sweat at all. It was speed that allowed her to do that which inwardly impressed the hanyou. Midori's eyes locked into the womans. She felt the need to use her "illusionist" technique, hoping to strike some type of fear into the woman's heart. That would be a good idea, to make her squirm on the sight of her deepest fears. It would be rather amusing as well, considering how she was acting like Midori was more of a nuiscance rather then a threat. But that would defeat the purpose of seeing how skilled this woman was. So Midori casted that foolish idea to the side and decided on using what was her strong point, hand to hand combat.
The kitsune got into a stance, preparing for anything that the woman would throw at her. She was a fire demon but Midori had obtained flames of her own. It may not be as strong as the woman's but it was decent enough. Her hands then became engulfed with flames, causing her skin to tingle. "Shall we play again?" The red head asked almost as if she was taunting her. Midori did not appreciate how the woman was handling the situation so lightly, almost like if Midori was a piece of trash to her or something. No, that wouldn't do. The kitsune felt like she had something to prove, something that would make the woman think otherwise of her arrogant behavior. If this was the level she had to stoop down to, she would do it with out hesitation. "Coming between something that didn't invovle you wasn't a smart idea woman! C'mon, my fire against yours, lets see which one of us is the better one!" Midori knew she was pushing things a bit too far. The woman was a fire demon which meant her flames would be way too advanced for the hanyou's but her ignorance led her to believe that she could some how win this fight between the two. Her immaturity was showing. "You ready? Or are you gonna chicken out?" Midori smirked, as she teased the woman with her chicken remark. The kitsune couldn't back out now. She was too far in, to coward out. Not like she was going to, she definitately wasn't going to run away. She would stay and combat until the win was her's for the taking
