SANGO
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Orientation: Straight
Race: Human
Occupation: Demon Exterminator
Looks Aren't Everything
Birthmark(s): None
Scar(s): On her back is a scar from when her younger brother had stabbed her with a throwing sickle while he was under the influence of a spider demon. She, also, has several small scars from other battles.
Appearance: Sango appears to be a rather average woman to some, with dark brown hair that appears black when it's dark. Her eyes are, also, dark brown, a bit of magenta eye shadow on her top eye lid, right above her eye lashes. Sango is an average height of around five feet and three inches. Along with her average height, due to her constant travels and usually travelling on foot, Sango is muscular, which is hard to miss when you see the large boomerang she always tows around on her back. She's even mentioned about the fact an ordinary human would have difficulty throwing around such a large weapon, before. Sango is strong enough to catch and hold the heavy Hiraikotsu (her big boomerang) with just one hand.
When Sango is not fighting or slaying demons, she is walking around in a very traditional pink and magenta kimono patterened kimono. On top of the kimono she wears a green skirt tied neatly in the back, just above his hips. Underneath the kimono, she wears black traditional woman's arm and leg guards and straw sandles. On her shoulders, Sango uses a blue and ice blue cloth to carry around all of her other gear, such as her armor and other small weapons. Her long dark brown hair will be pulled back by a ribbon mid way down her hair, rather than the high pony tail she has during fights.
During battles, Sango trades in her kimono for a full black skin tight suit. Her armor padding is made up of a set of shoulder pads, knee pads, elbow pads, and a stomach plate that hangs down just a bit above her knees. All of her pads are made of demon parts, and are held in place by red cloths. On the red ribbon around her waist, a sheath withholding a short sword called a wakizashi hangs. There have been times where Sango will actually wear her fighting uniform underneath her kimono.
Not necessarily part of her appearance, but usually found at Sango's side is a two tailed cat named Kirara. The small nekomata has red eyes with a black slit pupil and is a pale yellow cover with black ears, and all four of her paws are black. On both of Kirara's tails are a black line that appears to curl around her tail, while on her forehead, Kirara has a black diamond. In her small form, Kirara is cute and appears rather innocent, but when need be, Kirara can transform. She goes from a kitten into a saber tooth in a flash of fire, and the same flames emit from the cat's ankles.
What's Beneath the Skin
Personality: Sango is rather withdrawn from others, preferring to keep personal matters personal, instead of talking about the memories that haunt her. She still feels the pain of losing everything she had known in such a short amount of time, but, as always, keeps these issues to herself. Her rather secretive manner is probably due to her extreme independence. Sango isn't the type of girl who needs saving, because she knows she is perfectly capable of handling herself in a fight. She will never ask for help, but won't deny anyone who tries to help. She is smart and strategic in battles, and is well aware that help from others often makes battles much easier.
Sango is very loyal and kind to her friends, always there to provide her wisdom to them when needed. She may not be the first person to start a conversation, but Sango will certainly contribute to a conversation started by others. Although, despite her bonds with them, Sango tries her best not to get too close to people, as the pain of her loses still lingers inside of her heart. She fears if she gets too close she might lose the person and only add on to her pain. Due to all that she's lost, Sango does anything to protect her friends, and even refused to leave Miroku behind when he had fallen in a battle. She stayed beside him, rather than rushing ahead to continue fighting, showing how truely loyal she is.
Part of Sango fears that she might betray her friends one day, under certain circumstances concerning her younger brother, Kohaku. She doesn't wish to betray them, but has admitted to them that there is a chance that she will. Her brother is her last living relative and incredibly important to her, and shows no hostility towards him what-so-ever. Sango is smart enough to understand Kohaku was posessed by a demon when he killed her father and several of their companions. Even now, as he is stuck in Naraku's clutches, Sango holds absolutely no anger towards him, and didn't even fight back when he attacked her. He is usually the topic of her thoughts while she's lost in her silence.
Sango, despite her want to get revenge for her people as soon as possible, is rather easy going and usually goes with the flow of what the rest of her friends does. Although, despite this, she can have a temper towards certain people, namely the perverted monk who insists on groping her ass every time he gets a chance. When Miroku does start charming her, the usually tomboy-ish Sango can turn rather feminine. She is easily wooed by the words, but will quickly snap out of her girly day dreams on a moments notice when Miroku gropes her, again, or something else happens to cut into the moment.

Being a Part of Me
Items: - Hiraikotsu - A giant boomerang Sango always carries on her back
- Youkai Paralyzing Poisons - A poisnous concoction that paralyzes demons
- Numbing Potions - When she doesn't want to kill the demon, the poison will numb the demon. She tends to hide the poison in rice balls or buns for her 'victum' to eat.
- Mask - Her metal mask that protects her from the poisons from demons and the poisonous gas of her poison bombs.
- Rope - Inside the right shoulder pad of her fighting uniform, Sango has a long rop with a three pronged claw for anchoring onto things out of her reach.
- Salve - Inside of her left shoulder pad of her fighting uniform, Sango carries a salve inside of a clam shell container. It is applied directly to cuts or breaks in the skin. The slave stings a bit, revealing it does not numb the wound. It can be used on both humans and demons.
- Night cloak - Not usually part of her aquipment, she can make one when needed. It's made of a luminous moss and glows in the dark. It is commonly used for night attacks.
Weapons:- Hiraikotsu; A giant tan boomerang that is actually taller than Sango herself. It is made from demon bones, and is very heavy, but Sango seems to be able to lift it with noticeable ease, despite being a human. After being repaired by the poison master, the Hiraikotsu even gains the ability to destroy demonic energy. Sango has hit Miroku on the head with this on a few occasions.
- Dagger Gauntlet; A dagger is hidden underneath her right sleeve in her fighting outfit. When triggered, it tears out from under the sleeve. Sango has it extremely well hidden, but rarely uses it in fights, since it's more of a weapon of surprise and used when she doesn't have anything other weapons.
- Wakizashi; A short one-handed sword commonly mistaken for a katana. Sango uses it for close combat because her Hiraikotsu is, as said before, large and would be exhausting if she tried to use it for close combat.
- Chain; Sango uses her chains to constrict enemies, preventing movement.
Abilities: None
Flaws:- Human - Sango is not a demon and despite her extremely impressive amount of strength and stamina, she still takes a lot of time to heal from her wounds and can be killed easilly by any large blow to her body.
- Hiraikotsuo - Despite how effective Hiraikotsu is, if the weapon is used against Sango, it can result in deadly consequences. She cannot use it against a wind manipulator, due to the fact it will just get sent flying back at her and cause a lot of injuries. Also, if she is knocked down while the large boomerang's return, and misses the boomerang, she'll have to run to grab the weapon, which usually results in another wound from her foe.
- Stubborn and Withdrawn - When Sango is upset, but is trying her best not to show it, she loses her ability to think straight. Sango will walk away to avoid what's upsetting her, and on several occasions, runs head first into a battle. When she is like this, Sango usually loses the battle and gets captured by an enemy.
From Whence I Came

History: Sango was born into a village unlike most others. This village was hidden away from the world, and was the place where the Shikon Jewel originated from. Her village is one of the few demon exterminating villages in the nation, and she was raised to fight demons, just like all the others in her village. Gender never seemed to be of importance when it came to training, which resulted in Sango being a big of a tomboy. She would grow to become one of the best slayers in her village, even becoming well known by the people, as Myouga had even known of her before she even mentioned her name.
When she was five, Sango's mother gave birth to Sango's little brother, Kohaku. Unlike most siblings who have the, ever so famous, sibling rivalry, Sango and Kohaku were surprisingly very close to each other as they grew up. They sometimes visited flower fields together where Kohaku would gather bouqets for his sister, and they'd both lay around and talk to each other. The bond between them was very strong, and would not be easy to break.
When Kohaku was 11, and Sango was 16, her father, who was also the village leader, had decided Kohaku was old enough to participate in slaying demons. So, one night, Sango, her father, her brother, and a few of the other best slayers in her village left to go slay a giant spider demon in a near by mansion. Although, the group was unaware of the fact the mansion's lord had been posessed, and his son had been replaced by the powerful hanyou Naraku.
While at the mansion, the group of slayers brought the giant demon down with ease. Although, it was almost too easy. As the others began dismantling the corpse, Kohaku suddenly threw his sickle at the others, killing the others and his father, but not Sango. He went after Sango, next, and during their fight, Sango realized he had been possessed and the lord of the mansion was a demon. She knocked her brother aside and went after the lord to try and free her brother by slaying him. On the way, though, Kohaku threw his sickle at her back and snapped back to reality just after wards.
In his panic, Kohaku ran towards Sango to help her, only to be killed by the archers protecting the lord. Sango stood back up, despite the knife in her back and headed over to her brother, the archers attacking her as well. She passed out, appearing practically dead. Naraku, posing as the lord's son, killed the lord and finished the demon that posessed him. He ordered the demon exterminators be burried in the garden. After being burried, though, Sango crawled from her grave, not willing to die so easilly. Naraku saw her and brought her inside to heal her wounds.
While all of this had been going on, a monstrous hord of demons attacked and slaughtered Sango's village, leaving her as the last living demon exterminator from the village. Naraku's puppet stole the Shikon Jewel shards from her village, and then returned to Naraku. Making sure Sango could over hear them, Naraku made his puppet inform him of what happened to the village, but instead of saying the demons slaughtered the village, Naraku's puppet said a powerful hanyou by the name of Inuyasha commited the act. Sango, now powered by the strong rage pumping through her veins, got up from the floor and demanded her supplies be returned so she could kill Inuyasha and avenge her people.
After Sango got ready, Naraku's puppet lead Sango to Inuyasha, giving her a jewel shard to prevent her from feeling the pain of her wounds. Once she came across Inuyasha, she began to fight him with no mercy, and when Naraku evacuated, Sango sent Kirara after him. During her battle with Inuyasha, Sango's mask was knocked off in the middle of a poison bomb and Inuyasha saved her. When back on the ground, she realized how much blood she had lost and Inuyasha, Kagome, and Shippo guided her to follow Kirara, Miroku, and Naraku's puppet.
While Inuyasha and Miroku fought the puppet, it was revealed that Naraku had been the one that slaughtered all of Sango's loved ones. When the puppet was destroyed the group headed back to Sango's village to tend to her wounds. While there, Sango educated them of the past of the Shikon Jewel, and how inside the jewel there is a never ending battle between souls. Shortly after this, Sango chose to travel around with the group so she can find Naraku and free her brother from his grasp and get revenge for what he had done to her village, her family, and most importantly, her brother.
During the travels, Sango, despite what she says, began to form a definite interest in Miroku. After being possessed and attacking Miroku, Miroku admits he cannot love her as a woman, but only a comrad. She is crushed, but, as usual, tries to hide the pain and tries to walk away, but Miroku continues and says that once the wind tunnel is gone and Naraku is dead, he'd want Sango to come live with him. She says yes, but when she requests he stops womanizing, Miroku doesn't answer.
Now, as another war begins to cross over the land, Sango is angered by what the demons are doing to her fellow humans. She wishes to try and free those who are in-slaved and slay the demons responsible. She continues travelling with the group, and loathing every bit of news she hears about the war.

"Sis!" Oh please, not this dream, again... "Sis!" He's calling for me, I hear him. I can't speak, though... "Sango!" Kohaku... "SANGO!"
Sango bolted straight up at the yell, beads of sweat rolling down her tanned skin. Her chest was rising and falling at a quick pace as she panted quietly. She closed her mouth to try and stop the panting, swallowing the next pant and forcing her nose to take in smaller amounts. Her dark eyes looked at the others around her, and she sighed in relief when she saw she hadn't awoken those around her.
Sango slid from the sleeping bag Kagome had brought with her from the future, and turned a little to gaze at the dieing fire they had made that night. She watched the small flame flicker and spazz on the burnt wood, and gazed at those around her. She had no idea how late, or early, it was, but she did know that she wasn't going to fall asleep, again, anytime soon. Sango quietly stood up and paused when she heard the soft mew from her feline companion.
Kirara tugged on the hem of Sango's kimono, and Sango looked down at her and smiled a little. She couldn't remember when she received this mysterious cat, because she'd been with Sango for as long as she could remember. Not that she cared for when or how she got this powerful creature, she was just glad she still had someone from her past to keep her company. Sango knelt down and offered her hand to Kirara, the cat quickly running up her arm and sitting on Sango's shoulder with ease.
Sango scanned the others, once more, to make sure they hadn't stirred from their slumber, before silently making way for the forest to collect more wood for the fire. After collecting a fair amount, she jumped a little when she heard a voice yell out her name and she sighed quietly. 'I suppose I should've probably stayed put...' she thought, turning and beginning to walk back. She really didn't have to collect more fire wood, but she wanted to walk off some of the jittery energy she had received from that nightmare.
As she headed back, she heard her name called, again, and she sighed. "I'm coming!" she called, and she reached up to pet Kirara's head. The cat began to pur onder the tender strokes and the two lit up once entering the light of the camp fire. Sango paused for a moment, feeling a bit of nostalgia and she looked back at the dark woods.
"Sango, are you okay?" Kagome cut into her thoughts. Sango blinked a few times, before turning back to look at those who had been worried about where she had gone off to. She gave a small smile and nodded.
"Of course I'm fine, just gathered some wood for the fire" she answered, kneeling down and adding the wood to the fire. She watched it grow and felt a small warmth inside her. She glanced up at the stars and looked back at the blaze. 'I'll speak to you, again, soon... Kohaku' she thought, giving a warm smile.
