Appearance:
Al though Kagome may look like Kikyou, their features are remotely different.Kagome has the complexion of a normal teen, a fair peach color that tents a rosy color when blushing. Her black hair is about shoulder length, and her eyes are a puppy brown. She stands at at least five feet and one inch. Her weight is one hundred and nine pounds. Kagome has a nice small nice along with a small mouth. Although when angry, it extends. Her hair when brushed, is normally a slight curly look, but when not brushed its all straight making her look entirely different.

Her style of clothing, is like any normal present age teen consisting of a white blouse attached with a green and white trimmed sailor-style collar and a matching green pleated skirt. The sleeve length is at her wrist, with a green bordered cuff and a white trim in the middle. A red bow tie is tied in the front and laced through a loop attached to the blouse. On her feet she wears, white knee high socks and brown penny loafers. At other times she will wear sweaters, and even her priestess clothing. Her features are pretty natural and nothing had really changed about her. Al though she has began to, wear her priestess clothing more than normal.

Personality:

Kagome Higurashi is a very kind, and caring girl, who people tend to not hate. She loves her friends with all her heart, and will protect them no matter what even if she has to take her own life. Her heart is pure, and she can break any cure due to her strong will, and determination of believing in herself. She doesn’t have a hateful thing inside her mind, and if she did she knows that its just not her, and will snap right out of it.She can be shy when she is around Inuyasha, and expresses her emotions the best way she can. They usually come out all in a flutter, but they all come from her pure heart, and bright soul. She can get jealous of people, and blush when her friends say embarrassing things about information she knows is true.

She enjoys cooking along with training, with Sango who is actually like a sister to her. She dislikes hating anyone, and tries her best in battle. Her loyalty to the friends she has, is an outstanding one for she cares a lot about them. If they are hurt, she tends to do reckless things and get into trouble. Al though her skills may be minor, she wants to protect anyone. She is even highly sensitive to the emotions Inuyasha felt for Kikyou, because she knows she can never replace her.But through it all Kagome is a sweet girl who cares for her friends, family, and loved ones.

Weapons:

  Kagome uses a long bow as her standard weapon, during fights she merges her powers into the bow making its attack stronger. During an attack on her, she can deflect it easily by knocking down evil spirits or the user's main target by passing others. However if the enemy is holding a child, or any hostage the arrow will, the arrow will bypass the hostage and hit the enemy instead.

Abilities:

• Purification Powers;;Powers of Purity
  When Kagome touches a tainted item, she can purify it right away. Due to it growing over the years, she is able to purify many other items. Sadly its not as strong as Kikyou's who has had much more experience than her. She is currently trying to work this out, and gain her full power as a Priestess.
  
  
• Spiritual Powers
  Kagome has the ability to pass into any barrier and illusion, along with spell. Her other gift of sensing auras come in handy, when not near a Jewel. She is highly unaffected by them, and try helping out the group. Kagome's spiritual power color is a pale purple, sometimes changing depending on the injury.
  
  
• Jewel Detecting
  Kagome find(sense) the correct location of a Shikon No Tama shard, due to her connection with Kikyo. She is never wrong, and tries her best to guide the team.
  
  
• Archery
  Kagome is not fist fighter, and so the bow is her main weapon of choice. Due to learning of her past through Inuyasha she decided, to take the same path. Sadly she wasn't very good at it mainly missing a lot of shots. However as time went by, Kagome kept practicing and is now able to be proficient enough to lead moving targets and hit them with a high degree of accuracy, often saving lives.
  
  
• Sacred Arrow
  Kagome can pour or merge her spiritual powers into her arrows, and shoot the arrow penetrating demonic demons. It can also purify the Shikon Jewel itself and other items.
  
  
• Arrow of Purification
  When Kagome merges her power into an arrow her purification powers activate, and she can purify even the most powerful demon-based attacks like Wind Scar.
  
  
• Sacred Backlash Wave:
  When Inuyasha launches the Back Lash Wave, Kagome shoots are arrow into the middle making a powerful explosion. .
  
  
• Time Barrier: Kagome has a aura or spirit that doesn't go along, the flow of time making her able to pass through any time freezing spell.

Flaws:Mortal: When shooting arrows, its highly possibly for Kagome to get knocked down which makes her vulnerable to being attacked. At other times, her purification powers may not work, on certain types of demons spells like Naraku for example. She may have Time Barrier ability, however they may not work due to doubting herself and her skills.

History:

"I think, I'll name her Kagome."

A light shined in the small child, as she was bundled up in a pink blanket. The nights were cold however the days war, however it changed much. Kagome began grow up and soon Kiyoku and Hiyoku wanted to move. Since work was so hard to find, Kagome along with her family moved. Their location was the Higurashi Shrine, a wonderful place. When the family got their they settled right in however, Hiyoku wasn't doing well. Kagome was already five, and due to the winter weather jobs were scares.

Alright, well, you're off to a good start, but there are still several things I'd like to see added and fixed before this gets my stamp of approval.

First of all, you need to pick one picture or the other, not use both, and keep in mind the height and width requirements for the picture you do use.

Secondly, I'd like for you to go through and read the entire application, and try to fix the typos, spelling errors, and grammar mistakes throughout; the application was really choppy to read, and I honestly had a hard time trying to figure out what you had meant to say at some points, so I would really like to see those fixed.

Next, the appearance is just shy of the 200 word minimum, so I'd like to see at least another sentence or two added to that section.

Next thing I noticed, which is not a huge deal, but which bothers me because I'm OCD about logic, the age you picked for Kagome's grandfather really doesn't make sense. I'm not sure if he's maternal or paternal grandfather, but in both cases he'd be too young--somehow, I doubt he was only 10 or 13 when his child was born. Also, I'm not sure what Inuyasha's actual age is, but I'm relatively certain he's older than 17.

As for the history, I'd really like to see less detail about the first episode of the show, and more details about her early life and more mention of her adventures in the Feudal era. Also, I'd like to see at least a brief mention of what she's heard about the situation with the demon lords, and how she feels about it.

Finally, the RP sample seems a bit...odd to me. I'll be the first one to admit I'm a logic nazi, so you don't necessarily have to listen to this point, but it would sure put my mind at ease XD First, I'm pretty certain that I've never seen Kagome carry her bow around in modern times, and I'm definitely sure that she wouldn't be able to walk through the middle of Tokyo with a bow and quiver of arrows strapped to her back without some form of security coming after her for it. Not to mention she'd have a difficult time explaining that one to her friends. Also, the chances of some large creature/demon/whatever you meant that thing to be attacking modern day Tokyo are very, very low, considering how few times anything of the sort reaches the modern era throughout the series. I also don't recall anything being able to shoot lasers as a weapon. In either case, the whole thing just seemed to lack realism for me, and, as I've said, I'm a stickler for logic.

After all that's been fixed, just let me know and I'll take another look. I know this seems like a lot, but Kagome is rather an important character, and I'd just like to make sure she ends up in good hands. Also, fair warning, I might have missed something that I may go back and add later; I'm handling this review between the night after graduation and the morning before work, which is not a great time for me to be concentrating, so I'll apologize in advance since I'm pretty sure I have missed at least one thing XD
